Grove School Named U.S. Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence

The Grove School of Engineering is one of five university/college members of a recently established U.S. Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence (ICCAE) consortium led by Syracuse University. The mission of an ICCAE institutions is to recruit and educate talented, diverse students interested in public service careers in the intelligence and national security fields.   ICCAE is a highly competitive program funded by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

ICCAE was designed by Congress to increase the number of intelligence community job applicants who are multi-disciplinary, as well as culturally and ethnically diverse.  ICCAE awards grants to accredited U.S. four-year colleges and universities to support the design and development of intelligence-related curricula.  The academic and programmatic training opportunities prepare students for professional positions in any of the 17 intelligence agencies in the United States.

In addition to the Grove School of Engineering, ICCAE Consortium members include Norfolk State University, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Syracuse University, and Wells College.
