Supporting Documents Required

  1. Statement of Purpose (500-650 words): Applicants should explain their academic and professional goals, as well as any previous experience in cybersecurity. The statement should address how the applicant plans to use the knowledge and training gained through the Cybersecurity Master’s Program.

  2. Personal Statement (500-650 words): The statement should be a narrative that provides a picture of the applicant as an individual․ It should address an individual’s personal history, academic career, motivations, and intellectual development. The statement should also include special interests and abilities, career plans, and life goals. It should not repeat information already included in the application, resume, or transcripts․

  3. Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions: International students who obtained their degrees outside of the United States should submit an international credential evaluation report in addition to their original transcripts.  City College accepts credential evaluations from: Education Credential Evaluators, Evaluation Service Inc., Josef Silny & Associates, and Transcript Research.  Copies of professional certificates and credentials should be uploaded in the section for transcripts.

  4. Two letters of recommendation: Recommendation letters must be signed and dated by the author and should be printed on institutional letterhead.  The letters should come from individuals who can best speak to the applicant's ability to succeed in a technically-oriented graduate degree program.

  5. Resume/CV: Applicants with relevant professional certifications noted on the resume/CV should include copies of the certificates in the Transcripts section of the application.
