4+1 Cybersecurity Accelerated Master's

City College undergraduates majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering can select to pursue a 4+1 Cybersecurity Accelerated Master’s option which will enable them to graduate with a bachelor’s degree and Master of Science in Cybersecurity in 5 years.

Cybersecurity Accelerated Master’s Basics

Undergraduate students accepted to undertake the Cybersecurity Accelerated Master’s option will take graduate courses from the Cybersecurity M.S. program which will count both toward undergraduate elective requirements as well as the Cybersecurity M.S. requirements. Students will be able to transfer up to twelve credits from the Cybersecurity graduate classes they took during the undergraduate degree at City College. The graduate courses cannot replace any core courses required by the undergraduate major, but rather will replace Elective courses. If a student chooses any of the core Cybersecurity courses as one of the elective courses, they will need to earn at least a B grade in the class in order to progress to the master’s degree program. Students must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA in order to pursue the Cybersecurity Accelerated Master’s option.

Eligibility

City College undergraduate majors in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering may apply for the Cybersecurity Accelerated Master’s option.
